Marguerite Guzmán Bouvard has taught poetry workshops at Regis College and the Radcliffe Institute. She was also a Resident Poet at the University of Maryland. She is the author of eleven books of poetry and has collaborated with a number of artists for exhibits. Her first book "Journeys Over Water" won the Quarterly Review of Literature award. Her eighth book, "The Unpredictability of Light" won the 2010 MassBook Award for Poetry. One of her poems has won a prize from Writing in A Woman's Voice, and two of her poems and books have been featured in the Blue Mesa Press. She has received grants for her poetry from the Puffin and Danforth Foundations.
